Nana B. and Brittany live in Dixmont, Maine. Brittany moved in with Nana B. in 2004 When her mother, Nana B.'s daughter, was killed in a car accident. They began naming all the birds and animals that live, feed, and visit their property in Maine. They then began taking pictures of them and writing children's stories about them. We now have our first book published and are working on several more. The pictures are all taken on our property. The little house you see in the book is actually a playhouse that Nana B.'s father, Walter Burpee, built for her in 1971. The children reading these stories will also learn about how the animals and birds live and what they like to eat. We hope they will enjoy the story as much as we enjoyed creating it together. Nana B. home schools Brittany and Brittany loves her horses, a mini pony named Tinkerbell and a quarter horse named Aleda. |
